Ultrasound pictures

Today I had the 26 week ultrasound. The technician would not tell me anything about the baby's kidney so we have to wait until we hear from the doctor next Tuesday or Wednesday.

The baby was being very difficult and would not cooperate with the ultrasound. She kept pushing my stomach around and the baby was stuck in the same position. It also had the hiccups while she was doing the ultrasound so that was kind of fun. She said that the heart was beating at 140 beats per minute.

I have a couple of pictures that we'll put on here.

The above picture is a picture of the baby's head with his or her fingers by the mouth and the knees are also visible right by the hand.

The baby was looking at us.

A picture of the baby's head and chest.

Easter pictures

Here are some Easter pictures from my parents house. The baby got his or her first Easter bag!!

Aunt Marlene

Aunt Marlene is back in the hospital with a fever. Please pray that the fever will go down and God would carry the family through this discouraging setback.

Crib Construction

Yesterday, Tim and I were off work and decided to put together the crib. It went surprisingly well and we did not have any problems putting it together. So, here are a few pictures of the process!!

Aunt Marlene

We have so much to be thankful for this Easter. Aunt Marlene returned home yesterday after 3 weeks in the hospital for her stem cell transplant. We are so thankful to God for the miracle that He has provided by keeping her safe during this transplant. We continue to pray that she will do well at home and will continue to have more energy each and every day. I decided to throw in a picture from a couple of months ago with Aunt Marlene, Uncle Chuck and Austin.

Baby update

Today we saw the doctor again for the baby. For those who don't know, when we had the ultrasound at 18 weeks they told us that the left renal pelvis area was elevated. It was not until today that we finally heard what that means. The doctor explained today that the tube that is going to the kidney is wider than it should be. We asked if there was anything that they would do and she said that if it came back the same way we would go for another opinion "up north". It does not seem like it is something that we should worry about, but hopefully everything will come back "normal" on the next ultrasound. I will be scheduling it for hopefully next Friday. So, we will continue to pray that everything is all right at the next ultrasound.

On a positive note, the diabetes test came back normal, which I am super happy about. They also could hear the heartbeat very easily which is good. Tim was very happy to hear it in person this time. The baby continues to kick like crazy too. Somebody at work actually saw my shirt moving from the baby kicking. Thanks so much for reading the blog!!

Pre-Easter

Bekah and her eggs

Evan and his eggs

On Sunday, we went to church and then headed out to Highland, IN to celebrate Easter with Tim's family. We had a great meal and were able to enjoy some great fellowship. We also enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt for the little ones and for the bigger ones.

Saturday

On Saturday, I got up early and went to the hospital to have my blood sugar tested for gestational diabetes. Then, we spent the rest of the afternoon reading our books from the library--it was quite relaxing for a short time. Then, we went to my parents to play games and spend the night. We took a cute picture of Austin playing hand and foot for the first time. Maybe he helped with the guys because they one for the first time ever.

Hanging with the neighbors

On Friday night, Tim & I hung out with our neighbors, Tom and Asheley. We had a great time playing games including Oodles of Doodles and Taboo. None of us had ever played Oodles but it was actually quite fun and wasn't too hard. We look forward to hanging out with them again.

Prayer Request

Please continue to remember my Aunt Marlene in your prayers. She is currently at University of Chicago undergoing a stem cell transplant. She has done really well up until this point, but is now struggling with fever and nausea. We just continue to pray that this will pass quickly and she will be able to return home soon.

Aunt Marlene

Last night we went to visit Aunt Marlene at the University of Chicago. She is currently there for a stem cell transplant. She looks absolutely amazing and today she is officially done with her chemotherapy. Tomorrow at 11:30 am she will have her purified cells placed back in her and then it is a matter of waiting to get her white blood cell counts back up. We were all so thankful for the privilige of being able to visit with her and know that she is doing all right. So many people are praying for her and she is doing so well. We all love her so much and can't wait for this procedure to be over with.

For Beth B.!!

Since my cousin Beth has posted a request for a belly picture, I figured I would quickly complete her request. So, here it is....

80's Dinner

Last night we went to the 80's Dinner at church that was sponsored by the youth group. This is the 3rd year that we have attended the dinner with our friends Matt & Cindy.

Alex was our server and did a great job. He was dressed as Karate Kid.

Then we enjoyed watching my cousin, Dan, perform as Richard Simmons in Sweatin' to the Oldies.
