One busy Saturday

On Saturday morning we tried to recover from our long night. We headed out to South Holland to visit Grandma Schaap. It was very good to see her again and we were also able to see Tim's mom who was also visiting there at the time. We showed Grandma the picture of the ultrasound since she does not have the internet.

Then we headed to Orland Park to meet Tim & Carrie and their kids at Rock Bottom Brewery. Tim & Carrie surprised us with a present for the baby. It was sooooo cute!! I look forward to bringing it with to the hospital with its potato sack opening in the bottom.

I was able to meet their kids, Maddie and Colin, for the first time. They were so cute and fun to be with.

We ended the day with watching Austin (after mom and dad did the first shift) while Rob and Lisa were at a wedding.

Hangin' with the Bulthuis'

On Friday night, we headed out to Demotte, IN. We had a wonderful dinner and were able to hang out with my family. We also were able to see the nephews again. (I'm not sure which one the real Kruesie is)

Then, the boys played Wii as can be seen from their picture while the girls played a hand of hand and foot.

Then the girls continued their win streak against the guys with hand and foot. Afterwards, my sister-in-law Lisa and I took a picture to see who had the bigger bump. She is due 5 weeks after me with her second child.

Austin

Grandma Boss made these monkeys a long time ago. Austin was at my parents house and looked so cute with his friend monkey.

Levi's Baptism

Our friends Matt and Cindy had their fourth child, Levi, baptized on Sunday. The service was very good and then we enjoyed the fellowship afterwards during a luncheon. The first picture is Levi being held by Pastor Erffmeyer. The second one is the whole family--from left to right--Julia, Seth, Matt, Cindy, Levi and Ella.

Austin

We finally were able to see Rob, Lisa & Austin today. They have been sick and did not want to get me sick. He looks so much bigger in the last 2 weeks. I have attached some pictures of him. He is the most smiley little guy in the whole world. He definitely brings so much love to our family. Rob also gave me an Army shirt and I am super happy for that!!!

The Crib!!

We purchased a crib this weekend and are super excited to have that big purchase completed. We are going to wait a couple of months to assemble it in case we find any good deals whether they are used or new. I am absolutely in love with the crib, though, so I am not sure if we could give it up.

Ultrasound

We had our 18 week ultrasound today. It took a loooooooooooong time to measure the baby and Tim wasn't allowed to be in the room. But he was able to come in at the end and see the heart beating and all of that fun stuff. The baby was moving around like crazy when the technician put the transponder on my stomach. It appears to be an extremely active and healthy baby!! We did not find out the gender of the baby and would like to be surprised when he or she is born. We also checked out Riverside Hospital and were not very impressed with their maternity floor. It appears that we will be having the baby at St. Mary's in Kankakee.

Today we only received 2 ultrasound pictures of the baby but they will be sending us a CD with more pictures and video so we're excited about that!!

Babysitting Kruesie

On Saturday night we were able to watch our nephew Kruesie. We had such a great time with him and were so happy that they let us watch him. He was so happy to be spending time with us and was laughing throughout the evening. He is so much fun to be with.

The Border

We had a great time on Saturday putting the border up in the nursery with Tim's parents. Tim's parents are experts at putting up the border and we are so grateful to them for all of their help. We have attached some pictures for you to enjoy.

The Nursery

We have been working on the baby's nursery for the past couple of weeks. We are scheduled for our ultrasound on Monday, but we are not going to find out the gender of the baby. So, the nursery is in neutral colors. Hopefully this weekend someone will be able to help us put up the border, but I wanted to show off the work so far.
