FIRE!!
Today I arrived home to all kinds of emergency vehicles blocking the only entrance to our subdivision. The police officer directed me where to park and then I saw that one of the new houses that they are building was charred and completely blackened. The field manager told me that I needed to check our house's siding to ensure that there was no damage. I realized when I arrived home that we did not have power, either (which we did not get back until 8:45). The rumor as of right now is that one of the construction people threw a cigarette and it set the place on fire. There are 5-6 houses that were affected by the fire. We're not sure if ours was affected or not because all of the siding on the houses looks bubbled, but we're going to have it checked out just in case. We are very thankful that no one was hurt, but we feel so bad for all of the houses that were affected.

Dinner by Design with Carol
Carol making some good food!!

Me with my MEAT!!

Tonight I went to Dinner by Design with Carol. We had a great time making meals for the future. I will probably save them until the baby comes. It was very easy and hopefully the food will taste very good. Here are a couple of pictures from our adventure!!

Big Baby!!
Today we had another doctor's appointment. She was reviewing the ultrasound that we had at the hospital last week (33 weeks) and she said that the baby's head is measuring large (over 36 weeks) and the baby's weight was estimated at 5 pounds 14 ounces. She wants me to go for a repeat diabetes test just in case to ensure that I don't have diabetes (hopefully I don't). She said that I look good, though.
Baby Shower
On Saturday, my mom threw a baby shower for us at my grandma's. We had a great time celebrating with everyone the upcoming birth of the baby. We received lots of handmade presents including: a scrapbook (from the Aunt Lisa's), a crocheted blanket (from my mom) a quilt (from my grandma) and a mirror, chair and picture frame (from my cousins). We also received lots of other wonderful presents from everyone else and felt so blessed. We enjoyed looking through all of the other presents on Saturday and Sunday and putting some of them together. Here are some pictures:

Taking a Fall
So yesterday I was leaving one of the group homes from work and I was distracted by one of the people and did not see the uneven pavement. So, of course I fell and twisted my ankle on the uneven pavement. I couldn't get a hold of the human resources people but figured that I should probably go to the ER just to make sure everything was ok. So, we headed to St. Mary's Hospital. After spending about 3 hours in the ER they told us that they weren't worried about my elbow or ankle but wanted to check on the baby to make sure the placenta was where it should be. We headed to OB. The nurse was awesome and explained the monitoring devices. She said that I could have contractions and they would look like a bell curve and if I didn't have six or more in an hour we would be fine. A minute after she told us this we had a contraction, but I couldn't even feel it!! Then, about 20 minutes later the doctor showed up and looked at me. She said everything looked really good and the baby was head down. She ordered an ultrasound to be sure if everything was ok. The ultrasound looked really good. (The picture did not turn out very well, though). We ended up leaving the hospital at about 12:30. So, here are a couple of pictures from the night:

Busy Day-Part III
Then, we went for our free 4D ultrasound. The technician was one of my favorites and was very nice and tried to get good pictures of the baby. She ended up giving us 13 pictures of the baby with a CD of pictures as well. The baby's feet were above his/her head--it was crazy. The baby also kept putting his/her hand in front of the face and wasn't allowing her to get really good pictures. They are kind of different looking in the bronze color, but oh well... Tim was able to be in there the whole time which was super exciting for him.
This is the baby's feet!!

This is showing that the baby has some hair!

These two are the face with the eyes, nose, mouth!!

This picture didn't turn out super good but was the only face first picture that we have of the baby!

Busy Day-Part II
After lunch, I headed back to Bourbonnais to go to the doctor again. The doctor said that everything is going well. I will go back for 2 more--2 week ultrasounds and then I will begin going every week. I'm hoping to have my favorite doctor again in 4 weeks.
Then, I went over to hang out with Lisa and Austin. He is getting to be quite the busy guy--rolling all over the place. Here is a picture of him from last week:

Busy Day--Part I--Lunch
Today, I went to work for a half of a day and then I met Beth, Bekah and Evan for lunch. I got some beautiful shells from Bekah and some shoes for the baby and some other stuff. I enjoyed having lunch with them at Culver's and spending time with them for a little while.
